LHS Band

 

 

The current 2010-11 marching band is comprised of over 215 members with the Tournament of Roses delegation in January 2011 to be in excess of 250 with, staff, equipment handlers & chaperones.

The Lindbergh School District is the nation's only school district named for Charles A. Lindbergh.

In 1997, the band performed at the Paris Air Show to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Charles Lindbergh's historic flight. The air show was held at LeBourget Field where Lindbergh landed after completing his first solo transatlantic flight in 1927. The band plyed in the opening ceremonies at the invitation of the United States Department of Commerce.

In 2001, the band performed in the King Kamehameha Parade in Honolulu, Hawaii.

In 2005, the band marched in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California.

100% of all Lindbergh middle school students and 35% of all high school students are enrolled in a music class.
